This time I would like to talk about clothing. The last few weeks I have been searching for something specific: Corporate wear. Yes I know, it sounds so easy to find, well I have been proven wrong.

Maybe its just me or its the season, but what happened to decent corporate wear at retail shops?

I have been to the most well known stores at almost every mall in Gauteng. I’ve been to Foschini, Milady’s, Queenspark, Stuttafords, Edgars, Truworths and Woolworths. They all sell the same, this very colorful, flowery, loose hanging fashion stuff that who knows where they get.

Now don’t take me the wrong way, I don’t mind fashion or color, I love color, but I’m just looking for decent stuff to wear to the office, formal as well as smart casual. I can remember that a few years back you used to get nice things, clothing that looks good and professional, but now…not so much!

There is one company I can find Image Makers, they sell really nice corporate and office wear. I want shops that sell similar clothing, clothing as formal and similar. The problem with them is that you have to order online, and I like browsing the store, matching items there seeing how it looks on me.

I guess I’m just sad to say this, but I think everything these days is about making money, what happened to selling things that actually looks good, instead of buying random stuff from the cheapest designer/supplier?

I know now why most people on the streets looks so bad. Some look like they just went for a dive in the laundry basket, others look like they are on drugs, some just look plain bad.

If any shop reads this ever, shame on you. Bring back style, proper style and get people looking good again, like they want to achieve something in the world.
