31st December 2012

December 31 2012, last day of the year

Last day of the year… This almost sounds unbelievable.

With everyone planning their new years parties, thinking about 2012 and what was or will be, one of my best friends posted on his  blog a question which got me thinking: “What would you do today, if you knew, you would not fail at doing it?”

Well I think if we knew we would not fail at whatever it is we need to do, we wouldn’t be afraid or held back in doing it. We would go out and just live. This brings up the question as to why we don’t just live, why are we afraid of failing or taking a chance? Its only then that you can grow as a person.

I personally are afraid of making mistakes, I don’t like to fail and try to plan and think it through before I do something, but in the end I guess it holds you back a little.
I propose a challenge for 2013, to go out and live, to not be afraid of failing but rather take that chance and learn from it if you don’t succeed.

Thinking back to what I did and didn’t do in 2012, I think overall its been a great year. I managed to make systems analyst at work, my personal life is at a point where I’m happy to be me (took a lot of time, but well worth it). I accomplished most of what I set out to do, and that fills me with lots of joy. There is always things you wanted to do that you never had time for or managed to do, but that is the best of a new year. Another chance to be better, to go out and be a better person, to do that one thing you always wanted to do.

So go into the new year and live without regrets! Happy new year!!
